Increase in micro-containment zones in city, admin urges people to take precautions

The micro-containment zones are located in parts of Sectors 7, 20, 21, 27, 28, 32, 33, 34, 35-A, 36-B, 37-A, 39-C, 40-D, 42-B, 44, 45-C, 46, 49 (Ashirwad Enclave and RCS Society), Mauli Jagran, Vikash Nagar, Old Indira Colony, Mani Majra, Pipli Wala Town and Modern Housing Complex.

To prevent further spread of the coronavirus, the UT Administration declared 39 more micro-containment zones in the city.

The affected areas declared as micro-containment zones are parts of Sector 7, 15, 22, 26, 29, 32, 33, 35, 41-B, 42, 43-A, 44,46, 49-A, 50, 63, Dadu Majra Colony, Sarangpur, Dhanas village, Khuda Ali Sher, Modern Housing Complex and Pipli Wala Town. — TNS

“Regular screening and monitoring of the areas would continue and frequent sanitization of the areas would be conducted,” said District Magistrate Mandip Singh Brar.

The administration has also urged people to wear mask properly and follow social distancing norms
