In a major breakthrough, Chandigarh Police were successful in cracking a case of stolen Gold Ladies Bangle from a Jeweller’s Hop in Sector 23.
As per the complainant Mr. Pintu medha, a resident of Patiala , the culprit Soumik Dass, a resident of Babui Para Dakshan Paras, Singur Distt. Hugli West Bengal was appointed as an artisan in Shop No. 34, Sector 23 on 10 April. He absconded with a stolen bangle the next day.
On receiving the implaint in Police Station Sector 36, the Police Department got active A Team of Crime Branch as per direction of Ketan Bansal, IPS, SP/Crime & HQ, close guidance of DSP Crime Udaypal Singh and under the supervision of Inspector Ashok Kumar arrested one accused namely Soumik Dass involved in theft.
Police caught him from the backside of Sector 17 Bus Stand where he was trying to get away.
