Seeing a decrease in the number of Covid cases, Chandigarh Administration has decided to re-open the Registering & Licensing Authority office in Sector 17.
The office had to be shut down for a week after 15 employees from the office had tested positive. But after stricter restrictions were imposed, the office had to be shut down till 25 May and later extended to 31 May.
As per the ooficial statement, fresh appointments shall be given only after the opening of the office and the citizens having previous appointments shall be adjusted after the offices are opened.
At the moment, only essential services will be available in the RLA offices. The services include registration of new vehicles, registration of other state vehicles, NOC of vehicle, renewal of registration certificate, issuance of international driving license, NOC of driving license and renewal of driving license.
