Taking notice of innumerable complaints about overcharging from private hospitals, High Court has said that will deal with these hospitals at the right time. Right now, the focus of everyone should be on treating Covid patients.
High Court has asked the modal committee to keep the factual report on overcharging complaints to itself for the moment. High Court will ask for the report at a later time to decide on the proceedings against these hospitals.
High Court also said that there should be a mechanism to let the friends and family know the status of their corona patient. Mentioning the ICU Control Room set up in PGI, the court has asked UT, Punjab Government and Haryana government to set up an ICU Control Room on similar lines.
