Adviser inspects implementation of UT master plan 2031

The Adviser to the Administrator, Chandigarh, Dharampal, reviewed the implementation of Chandigarh Master Plan 2031 in a meeting on Monday.

Many projects including the Sub City Centre Sector 34, Sector 43, Housing Projects in third phase sectors of Chandigarh, reutilisation of Government Housing and Beant Singh Memorial were highlighted by Chief Architect Kapil Setia.

One of the main points of development included converting the single storey government housing in the city to multi-storey in order to accommodate more people. The Adviser said that for the balanced growth of the city, various projects should be implemented in a phased manner and the budgetary allocations shall be made accordingly.

The meeting was attended by a host of dignitaries including Finance Secretary-cum-Secretary, Urban Planning, CEO, Chandigarh Housing Board, estate Officer, Special Secretary Finance, Joint Secretary Estates, Chief Architect, Chief Engineer UT, Chief Engineer Municipal Corporation, Land Acquisition Officer, and officers from the UT Police and other departments.
